What do you think of the use by pro-Mubarak forces in Cairo of war camels? I read they also used horses. No word yet on whether they used goats. Personally, I think elephants would have made a better impression. In any case, it is certainly a low tech solution. Talk about getting back to your roots.
By the way, today I bought ingredients to make an egg custard pie. Do you think that would qualify as a paleolithic dish? Maybe in stoneage France?

As desert dwellers who stay far away from civilization, we camels are usually rather apolitical. However I support my Egyptian brothers in their struggle to topple Mubarak. Let’s hope he is replaced by someone more favorable to the interests of the Egyptian people as a whole.
Egg custard pie, while certainly delicious, isn’t paleolithic. Paleolithic is cracking the eggs and drinking them raw out of the shells. Any recipe involving flour and sugar is pretty high tech by paleolithic standards. However, eggs are high in protein and good fats, if you make the pie crust with lard you’re eating something that’s at least piggy and fantastic.
